During a working visit of the president of Ukraine to Turkey, a brief tripartite conversation took place between Volodymyr Zelensky, President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, the press service of the President’s Office reported.

“The Prime Minister of Canada had a telephone conversation with the President of Turkey, during which Erdogan said that he had a surprise for Justin Trudeau, and handed the phone to Zelensky. The leaders of Ukraine and Canada exchanged friendly greetings and briefly discussed issues of common agenda and cooperation in topical projects,” the website of the Office of the President said on Oct. 16.

The President’s Office said that Zelensky and Trudeau were pleasantly surprised by the possibility of a friendly conversation in this format.
