You're reading: Zelensky gives 2 months to prepare draft annual address to parliament

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a directive entitled “On the preparation of a draft annual address by the President of Ukraine to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the domestic and foreign affairs.”

A working group will be formed to draft and approve the message.

The group will be led by Andriy Bohdan, head of the Presidential Office, who will oversee the whole effort, while his deputy Oleksandr Lytvynenko, Director of the National Institute for Strategic Research, will be in charge of the methodical-scientific side of the matter.

The group shall have two weeks to decide on the draft’s structure and schedule of draft preparation, the contents of the necessary material. It has two months in all to prepare and submit the draft.

The president also ordered the State Management of Affairs government agency to take measures to provide funding of the costs relating to the preparation of the draft.
