Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal has announced the receipt of a new large batch of AstraZeneca vaccine against coronavirus infection COVID-19, which will be used on a priority basis for re-vaccination of persons who have already received the first vaccination with a similar vaccine.

“This week, Ukraine has received more than 705,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine as part of the Covax initiative. It will be used primarily for people who have already received their first vaccine and should receive a second dose,” Shmyhal wrote on Facebook on June 6.

In addition, according to him, Ukraine will receive a vaccine from the United States, which announced a plan to distribute 25 million doses among various countries of the world. “In this regard, Ukraine occupies a priority place,” wrote the head of the Ukrainian government.
