You're reading: Zelensky travels to Oman

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is visiting Oman, where he arrived with his family by a regular flight at his own expense.

“The head of state is expected to have a number of top-level meetings there within the next few days,” the Office of the Ukrainian President reported on its Telegram channel.

Zelensky will discuss bilateral trade and economic cooperation in Oman, enhancing diplomatic relations and attracting investment to Ukraine, the statement said.

On January 2, following his New Year vacation at the presidential residence Synyohora in the Carpathian Mountains the head of state returned to Kyiv, and later he confidentially travelled with his family to Oman, online publication Strana.ua reported. He was accommodated at a five-star hotel on the coast of the Gulf of Oman not far from the Omani capital of Muscat.

The publication also posted photos featuring Zelensky on vacation and reported that presidential security chief Maksym Donets travelled to Oman in advance to make arrangements for the president’s trip.
