Facebook and many of its apps have been blocked in China for years. Now Facebook launches a photo-sharing app to bypass the Chinese ban, a person familiar with the company’s plans told the New York Times.
The app is named Colorful Balloons, and is similar to Facebook’s Moments. To log into the new app the largest social network in China, WeChat, is used.
