You're reading: Armenia reports 145 new COVID-19 cases, 9 deaths in past 24 hours

YEREVAN – Another 145 patients were diagnosed with COVID-19 in Armenia in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases to 41,846, the unified information center said on August 18.

Thirty-eight new cases were reported on August 17.

According to the center, COVID-19 has killed nine more patients, and the overall coronavirus death toll reached 1,077 in Armenia. “Of those numbers, 832 persons died directly of coronavirus, and another 245 infected patients died of underlying conditions,” it said.

As many as 34,982 coronavirus patients have recovered by now (327 more over the past day).

Armenia performed 1,067 COVID-19 tests in the past 24 hours.
