You're reading: Armenia reports 196 new COVID-19 cases, 6 deaths

YEREVAN – Armenian medics diagnosed another 196 patients with coronavirus in the past 24 hours, bringing the country’s overall number of confirmed COVID-19 coronavirus cases to 41,495, the unified information center of Armenia said on August 15.

According to the center, the coronavirus death toll reached 1,059 in Armenia after six more patients died in the reporting period. “Of those numbers, 817 people died directly of coronavirus, and another 2242 infected patients died of underlying conditions,” the center said.

The recovery rate went up to 34,484 (+320 over the past day).

Armenia performed 1,631 COVID-19 tests in the past 24 hours.
