YEREVAN – A second person in Armenia has died from the H1N1 virus, commonly known as swine flu, the Armenian Health Ministry said.

“A 62-year-old man has died. He was diagnosed with the H1N1 virus. He died from cardiopulmonary failure,” the ministry said.

Acute respiratory infection rates in Armenia are “showing a tendency toward growth,” it said.

Swine flu has already killed 17 people in neighboring Georgia.
