You're reading: Belarus records 918 new COVID-19 cases

MINSK – A total of 32,426 people in Belarus have tested positive for the novel coronavirus as of May 20, the Belarusian Health Ministry said on May 20.

A total of 918 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the past 24 hours.

“A total of 179 patients diagnosed with the coronavirus infection (175 as of May 19), who also suffered from an array of chronic illnesses, have died in the country since the infection began spreading,” the Health Ministry said.

As of May 20, a total of 11,415 patients earlier diagnosed with COVID-19 have already recovered (10,620 as of May 19), the ministry said.

Belarus has performed a total of 387,673 diagnostic tests to identify COVID-19, it said.
