The Belarusian State Security Committee (KGB) has opened a criminal inquiry into the training and preparing for participation in mass riots, 26 people have been detained.

“The KGB has opened a criminal case over the instance of training and preparing for participation in mass riots (Article 293 part three of the Republic of Belarus Criminal Code). Activists from White Legion, led by Miroslav Lozovsky, and from Young Front, led by Dmitry Dashkevich – 26 people in all have been detained,” state media reported on March 23, citing the KGB.

Twenty-nine searches were carried out at their homes and storage sites for documents and other items, the agency said.
