For 15 years, presidents have sat for interviews ahead of the Super Bowl, a tradition that began when CBS sportscaster Jim Nantz interviewed then-President George W. Bush in 2004. On Feb. 1 afternoon, President Trump spoke with “Face the Nation” moderator Margaret Brennan in the Blue Room of the White House. The president, who is preparing to deliver the State of the Union address on Feb. 5, discussed the fight over border security funding, his disagreements with the intelligence community, the situation in Venezuela and the fight against ISIS in Syria.
