Over 2,000 people solemnly gathered at Vijfhuizen park near Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport on July 17 to commemorate the third anniversary of the downing of flight MH17, in which 298 passengers and crew members lost their lives. The attendees included family members of the victims, Dutch King Wilhem-Alexander and Queen Maxima, and other international guests and politicians.
