Financial Times: Firing Rosenstein over Russia probe holds risks for Donald Trump

As Donald Trump attacks the agencies investigating Russia’s alleged meddling in the US presidential election, speculation is mounting that the future of Rod Rosenstein is in jeopardy.

Allies of Mr Trump have put pressure on the deputy attorney-general by urging the president to dismiss him in an effort to cripple the Russia investigation being run by Robert Mueller, the special counsel.
