TBILISI – Georgia reported its first COVID-19 fatal case on April 4.

The First University Clinic of the Tbilisi State Medical University told reporters that the deceased patient was a 79-year-old woman, who was admitted to the hospital on March 31.

She also suffered from concurrent illnesses, it said.

Georgia currently has 156 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 28 people who have already recovered, the country’s Health Ministry said.
