MINSK – Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko wants to create the best conditions in his country for the development of the IT sector.

“It is our task to create conditions such that world leaders in this sphere would open their representative offices and R&D centers in Belarus and manufacture products with high added value,” Lukashenko said in his annual message to the nation and the National Assembly.

He said that the Belarusian high tech sector is summing up the best world practices. “They are collecting all ideas, permitting the removal of all obstacles to development of the IT sector,” he said.

“The government and presidential administration should actively support this work. Based on this work I expect the submission of a large-scale regulatory act that will define the best terms for operation of companies from all over the world in Belarus,” Lukashenko said.
