The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has expressed its concern with regard to the aggressive statements and plans of the DPRK to launch ballistic missiles on targets in the area of the island of Guam.

“In the view of the Ukrainian side such Pyongyang’s actions increase the risk of military conflict in the region of East Asia and threaten international peace and security,” a relevant statement of the Foreign Ministry, posted on its website on August 11, reads.

The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine called upon the official Pyongyang for strict implementation of the previously adopted UN Security Council resolutions including 2371 (2017).

As reported, the DPRK military repeated its threat to attack the areas adjacent to the U.S. military base in Guam and said they were developing a plan for the launch of four Hwaseong-12 medium-range ballistic missiles as a “warning” to the United States.
