You're reading: Moldova records 367 new COVID-19 cases

CHISINAU – Moldova has recorded 367 new coronavirus cases, that is three times more than on July 27, when 120 new cases were recorded, the press service for the Moldovan Ministry of Health, Labor, and Social Protection said on July 28 evening.

“Today, 1,829 tests were processed, of which, 1,333 are initial tests. As a result, 367 tests were proven positive. The cumulative number of registered Covid-19 cases thus reached 23,521 in Moldova,” the press service said.

Another 308 people were discharged from medical facilities, it said. According to the ministry, 16,462 people in total recovered from COVID-19. At the same time, five people who were diagnosed with coronavirus earlier died on Tuesday. Moldova’s pandemic death toll grew to 753.
