CHISINAU – Moldovan President Igor Dodon expects his Party of Socialitst to win the parliamentary election in 2018.

“We will win the parliamentary election in 2018 and demonstrate the seriousness of our intentions and plans to the whole world,” Dodon said at a solemn meeting on the occasion of the party’s 20th anniversary on Saturday.

He pointed out to the high level of confidence in Socialists, 48% of the population of the republic.

“And all because the republic’s citizens know that the Party of Socialists stands for Moldova’s statehood, the Moldovan language, the Orthodox Christianity, the resolution of the Transniestrian conflict, strategic partnership with Russia and against the unification with Romania,” the president said.
