You're reading: Number of COVID-19 cases in Moldova exceeds 28,000

CHISINAU – The number of coronavirus cases recorded in Moldova has exceeded 28,000, according to the official statistics presented by the press service for the Moldovan Health, Labor, and Social Protection Ministry on August 11 evening.

“A total of 2,174 tests were processed on Tuesday, including 1,612 primary tests. The result was 382 positive tests. The overall number of cases has reached 28,223,” the press service said.

Another 275 people who have recovered from coronavirus were discharged from medical institutions, the ministry said. Thus, a total of 19,740 people have recovered.

“Another seven patients earlier diagnosed with coronavirus have died over the past 24 hours. The total number of pandemic victims in Moldova has reached 857,” it said.
