RFE/RL: Armenian protest leader Pashinian says he is ready to lead country

Armenian opposition leader Nikol Pashinian, who led 11 days of protests that toppled Prime Minister Serzh Sarkisian, says he is ready to lead the country if asked.

“If people will bestow on me this responsibility, I’ll assume the responsibility,” the lawmaker told a news conference on April 24, a day after Sarkisian shocked the country by stepping down.
