Russian State TV: Invasion of Ukraine ‘Already Escalated Into World War Three’

A Russian state TV host has said the reason President Putin’s “special operation” in Ukraine is taking so long is because the country has entered World War Three against NATO, the Independent newspaper has reported in its rolling coverage of the war.

The remarks from one of Russia’s most prominent television presenters – Olga Skabeyeva – follow a symbolic defeat for Moscow with today’s sinking of the Moskva, the flagship of its Black Sea fleet.
