You're reading: Soyuz TMA-20M crew successfully lands in Kazakh steppe

The Soyuz TMA-20 spaceship manned by an international crew of Roscosmos’ Alexei Ovchinin and Oleg Skripochka and NASA’s Jeffrey Williams has successfully landed in Kazakhstan, the Mission Control Center told Interfax.

The word ‘touchdown’ appeared on the big screen in the Mission Control Center operations room.

The successful landing report was greeted with applause.

The landing capsule touched down southeast of Jezkazgan, Kazakhstan. Doctors will examine the cosmonauts and the astronaut upon their landing.

In the period from undocking of the Soyuz TMA-20 manned spaceship from the International Space Station (ISS) and the arrival of the next expedition, the ISS will be operated by Anatoly Ivanishin (Russia), Takuya Onishi (Japan) and Kathleen Rubins (U.S.).
