London has rejected accusations that it has allegedly supplied toxic substances to Syria.

“The UK supplies no lethal equipment to any party in Syria,” a UK government spokesman told Interfax when commenting on Syrian and Russian officials’ remarks.

It was reported on August 16 that Damascus has accused the United States and the United Kingdom of supplying CS and CN toxic agents which were seized from militants in Aleppo and a suburb of Damascus and were manufactured, according to reports, by two U.S. companies and one UK company.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said that the reported delivery of toxic substances to terrorists operating in Syria by U.S. and UK companies “is beyond comprehension”.
