As of July 2, Russia has lost 1,022,090 troops after launching its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022 – including 1,110 troops over the past day, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU).
Russian casualties in Ukraine surpassed one million on June 16.
The figures include all troops who are put out of action for some time due to deaths or injuries.
Russian equipment losses in Ukraine so far
The General Staff, in its daily update, also listed Russia’s total recorded equipment losses as follows:
- 22,931 armored fighting vehicles (including three over the past day)
- 53,786 vehicles and fuel tanks (including 90 over the past day)
- 29,794 artillery systems (including 40 over the past day)
- 43,013 drones (including 73 over the past day)
- 10,985 tanks (including two over the past day)
- 1,191 anti-aircraft systems (including one over the past day)
- 1,427 multiple launch rocket systems
- 420 airplanes
- 340 helicopters
- 28 ships and boats
- one submarine
The General Staff said it recorded 171 clashes across the front on Tuesday, July 1.
