‘No Safe Rear’: Azov Says All Russian Targets Around Donetsk Will Be Destroyed

Azov Corps says its drones now control Russian logistics routes around Donetsk, warning that all military targets on those routes will be destroyed.

Ukraine’s 1st Corps of the National Guard, Azov, said its strike drone pilots are targeting Russian logistics in the distant operational zone and keeping all logistics routes around Donetsk under control.

The corps said drone activity has been recorded along routes through Zuhres, Andriivka, Starobesheve, Horlivka, Lysychansk and the Donetsk ring road.

“The drones are keeping all logistics routes around Donetsk under control,” the corps said, adding that active drone operations along those routes demonstrate “the ineffectiveness of Russia’s airspace control system.”

The corps said Russian forces had until recently felt completely safe in those areas. But warned that all military targets moving along roads around Donetsk will now be destroyed.

“There is no safe rear for the occupiers,” the corps said.

The city of Donetsk and surrounding areas in Ukraine’s eastern Donbas region have been under Russian control since 2014, when Moscow-backed forces seized parts of the region. Following the full-scale invasion in 2022, Russia expanded its hold over additional territory in Donetsk region, turning the area into a key logistical and military hub for its operations in eastern Ukraine.
