‘Powerful Strike’: Ukraine Hits Russian Command Post Near Bakhmut

Ukraine’s Air Force struck a Russian command post near occupied Bakhmut, weakening Moscow’s control over the Pokrovsk front.

Ukrainian Air Forces struck the command post of Russia’s 6th Motor Rifle Division near Bakhmut, significantly impacting the situation on the Pokrovsk axis. Enemy losses have not been disclosed.

“The Ukrainian Air Force recently carried out a powerful strike on the command post of the enemy’s 6th Motor Rifle Division in the area of Bakhmut, temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region,” the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces reported.

According to the General Staff, the strike severely reduced Russia’s ability to command operations along the Pokrovsk axis.

“The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to repel enemy offensives and inflict significant losses,” the statement added.

“Together to victory! Glory to Ukraine!”

Bakhmut, captured by Russian forces in May 2023, remains a key strategic location. Despite the occupation, Ukrainian forces continue to hold positions on the city’s flanks and strike Russian military targets.

At the same time, Russian troops are actively trying to advance along the Pokrovsk axis, particularly near the towns of Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad. Overall, the situation in the Bakhmut and Pokrovsk directions remains tense but under the control of Ukrainian forces. The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue defensive and counteroffensive operations, dealing losses to the enemy and preventing further advances.
