Russian Losses in Ukraine: 1,015,750 Troops Out of Action as of June 26

Daily updates from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) regarding frontline developments and casualty figures amidst Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

As of June 26, Russia has lost 1,015,750 troops after launching its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022 – including 1,100 troops over the past day, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU). 

Russian casualties in Ukraine surpassed one million on June 16.

Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky also said on Wednesday that Kyiv has halted all Russian advances in the country’s eastern Sumy region bordering Russia, tying down “about 50,000 Russian troops, including elite airborne and marine brigades.”

The figures include all troops who are put out of action for some time due to deaths or injuries. 

Russian equipment losses in Ukraine so far

The General Staff, in its daily update, also listed Russia’s total recorded equipment losses as follows:

  • 22,892 armored fighting vehicles (including seven over the past day)
  • 53,195 vehicles and fuel tanks (including 111 over the past day)
  • 29,617 artillery systems (including 48 over the past day)
  • 42,153 drones (including 107 over the past day)
  • 10,968 tanks (including one over the past day)
  • 1,425 multiple launch rocket systems 
  • 1,188 anti-aircraft systems
  • 416 airplanes
  • 337 helicopters
  • 28 ships and boats
  • one submarine

The General Staff said it recorded 154 clashes across the front on Wednesday, June 25.
