Ukraine Takes Out Russian Warehouses in Donbas, Destroys Tens of Thousands of UAVs, Ammo

Kyiv destroyed large Russian drone stockpiles and ammunition depots in Donetsk and Luhansk, thwarting Moscow’s military plans in Ukraine’s Donbas region.

Ukrainian forces have destroyed significant Russian strike drones and ammunition warehouses in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the General Staff reported.

“Ukrainian Defense Forces are effectively thwarting the aggressor’s plans,” reads a Telegram report published Monday, Sept. 22.

According to confirmed information, Russia had attempted to deliver various types of ammunition to the 17th Tank Regiment of the 70th Motorized Rifle Division near temporarily occupied Bohdanivka in the Luhansk region, while also distributing over 19,000 UAVs for its forces in the Donetsk region.

“Trucks delivered tens of thousands of mines, grenades, cartridges, high-precision tank rounds (ZUBK-14), and artillery shells to the tank regiment’s field depot,” the report said.

In Donetsk, the cargo included various UAVs – such as the Molniya, Boomerang, Vandal Novgorodsky, and Gorynych – along with batteries, communication modules, and video transmitters.

On Aug. 29, soldiers from the Operational-Strategic Group “Dnipro” struck a drone distribution logistics point, destroying large stocks of Russian attack UAVs.

The ammunition depots were targeted on Sept. 18, when units of Ukraine’s Armed Forces (AFU) and Security Service (SBU) destroyed a regimental ammunition depot in Luhansk. Russian vehicles were also burned in the attack.

Although the strikes occurred earlier, the General Staff only confirmed them on Monday, likely for security reasons. No photos or videos of the hits were provided.

As per Kyiv Post, Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces (SSO) struck the logistics hub of Russia’s 810th Separate Marine Brigade in the Kursk region early on Sept. 18.

A nearly two-minute drone video shared on the SSO’s Telegram shows a series of explosions set to a Bach soundtrack. The attack targeted ammunition depots and a concealed site housing weapons and military equipment belonging to the 810th Brigade, which is based in occupied Sevastopol.

The brigade has been actively involved in offensive operations in the North Slobozhansky sector (Sumy region). According to the SSO, its personnel have also participated in war crimes, including the execution of Ukrainian prisoners of war.
