‘We’ll Destroy Putin’s System From Within’: Partisans Rail Sabotage Disrupts Russian Frontline Logistics

Partisans say they disabled a key rail junction near Luhansk, disrupting Russian supply lines as a string of sabotage attacks hits logistics hubs across Ukraine’s occupied territories.

Partisans from the Atesh movement carried out another sabotage operation near occupied Luhansk, disabling a railway junction and disrupting supplies to Russian forces.

In a Telegram statement, Atesh said its agents destroyed a relay cabinet at the site.

“Our agents destroyed a relay cabinet at a railway junction in the Luhansk region. The equipment burned out completely – there will be no quick recovery,” the report said.

According to Atesh, the targeted line is a key supply route for Russian army groupings in the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, where some of the heaviest fighting is ongoing.

The junction is used to transport ammunition, armored vehicle components, fuel, and lubricants intended for frontline assault units.

“The destruction of the cabinet blocked traffic on this section. Trains were delayed, leaving frontline units without planned deliveries of ammunition and spare parts. This directly limits their offensive capabilities,” the statement said.

“Blow by blow, we will destroy Putin’s fascist system from within,” it added.

This was the fourth railway sabotage operation by Atesh in March.

In an earlier report dated March 18, Atesh claimed its agents disabled a diesel locomotive near occupied Simferopol in Crimea, disrupting supplies to Russian forces in the Zaporizhzhia direction. The locomotive, it said, could not be quickly repaired.

“The operation was carried out on the eve of March 18 – the date Russia marks as the ‘reunification’ of Crimea,” the group reported.

According to Atesh, the sabotage blocked the delivery of ammunition, spare parts, and other supplies, leaving Russian units without planned reinforcements and affecting their combat capabilities.

On March 12, the group reported disabling another relay cabinet near Stary Oskol in Russia’s Belgorod Oblast, along a supply route toward Kupyansk.

That junction was reportedly used for urgent ammunition deliveries to Russia’s 122nd Motorized Rifle Regiment and the 27th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade.

“According to our agent in a neighboring reconnaissance unit, the delivery was urgent due to a shortage of ammunition ahead of planned combat operations,” the group said.

Atesh claimed both units entered battle with critically low ammunition supplies, leading to reduced combat effectiveness and heavy personnel losses.

Prior to that, the movement also reported destroying an electric locomotive in Bryansk despite heightened security measures.

“The Russians increased security, installed new cameras, and tightened access controls. But as you can see, this did not help. We destroyed another mainline electric locomotive,” the group said on March 8.

Atesh added that the Bryansk transport hub remains vital for supplying Russia’s “North” grouping of forces operating near Ukraine’s border.

“While the FSB writes reports about ‘reinforcements,’ our agents continue to access secured facilities and methodically destroy equipment meant to deliver shells to the front. There are no safe places for them,” the statement said.
