Ukraine is achieving “greater results in the missile sector every month,” President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his evening video address on Friday, Nov. 14.
He revealed that Friday included important discussions with Ukraine’s military about the country’s missile program, adding that the new Long Neptune missiles have already proven themselves in long-range strikes against Russia.
Prior to that, Zelensky released footage of Long Neptune missiles hitting targets inside Russia on the night of Nov. 14 - the first time Kyiv has publicly shown the weapon in action.
“Ukrainian ‘Long Neptunes.’ Doing more,” he wrote on Telegram, confirming that Ukrainian forces struck “specific sites” without providing details.
He called the operation “our entirely justified response to ongoing Russian terror,” saying Ukrainian missiles deliver “tangible and precise results every month.”
“We are achieving greater results with missiles every month - thank you to the manufacturers and to our soldiers,” he said in the evening address.
Zelensky added that Russia “will increasingly not be able to turn a blind eye to the war,” noting that Ukrainian responses make it “clear what is really happening.”
He expressed condolences to the victims of Russia’s overnight attack on Nov. 14, which struck Kyiv and killed six people, injuring more than 30.
“Ukraine must ensure that not a single Russian strike goes unpunished. Our weapons, world sanctions, and political pressure on Russia - all of this is working, and will work even more,” Zelensky said.
He also announced that Ukraine will “soon” receive additional air defense systems and combat aircraft from allies, including France. He highlighted this week’s pledge by Nordic and Baltic states to provide $500 million under the US-made PURL program.
“We are preparing to supply other powerful air defense systems, strengthening our aviation - we are preparing a strong agreement with France, and we will finalize it soon,” he said, calling it “a historic agreement.”
He added that Ukraine is preparing new “special solutions” to better protect frontline and border regions - Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kherson - where Russia is organizing what he called “safaris on civilians.”
“They are actually organizing human safaris and training drone operators by killing Ukrainians on the streets and roads,” he said, emphasizing the need for more protection and more active Ukrainian operations.
