‘100% Death’: Intercepted Call Exposes Horror Zone Where Russian Troops ‘Don’t Come Back’

HUR intercept captures a Russian soldier describing “dozens of corpses” scattered across the Serebrianske Forest and warning that anyone sent there faces “100% death.”

Ukraine’s Military Intelligence (HUR) released an intercepted phone call on Sunday describing catastrophic Russian losses in the Serebrianske Forest area of the Luhansk Region, where entire units are reportedly being wiped out in ongoing assaults.

In the recording, a Russian servicemember warns a fellow soldier that deployment to the Serebrianske sector is effectively a death sentence. He describes “dozens” of bodies scattered through the forest, many still bearing patches of the Vostok airborne-assault brigade.

“You walk into the forest and there’s one corpse on top of another,” the soldier says.

“All the guys lying there have the same patch – that f***ing Vostok. There are just dozens of them lying around.”

According to the intercept, Russian airborne and assault units are suffering near-total annihilation in attempts to advance through the forested terrain. The servicemember recounts how one unit reportedly lost an entire company – “200 people, seriously,” he says – during recent operations.

He urges his interlocutor not to transfer to the unit fighting near Serebrianske, saying the choice is between a 90 percent chance of survival elsewhere and “100 percent you’ll be a body bag there.”

Ukraine’s intelligence service reiterated that any Russian soldier seeking to avoid becoming “another body in Serebrianske” can contact the I Want to Live (Хочу жить) surrender hotline on Telegram, offering a chance to save their lives.

Kyiv’s “I Want to Live” initiative provides instructions and guarantees for Russian soldiers seeking to surrender safely to Ukrainian forces.

Recent intercepted calls also revealed worsening conditions in the Russian military. One soldier complained of a lack of basic supplies, which led to troops dying on supply runs, while another admitted that various personnel – including cooks – were being used as infantry during frontal assaults.

Earlier last year, Kyiv Post also interviewed “Maria,” a professional eavesdropper with HUR, who said the “insane” things heard in intercepted calls are, in fact, real despite their often outrageous nature.

“They all are real even though they might seem insane. Sometimes I can’t believe the words I’m hearing myself, but we have what we have,” she said.
