Funny cartoon. I'm still hoping I eventually also see one that embarrasses NATO into direct Ukraine military support. Perhaps a little Ukrainian girl wielding a small NATO inscribed pocket knife to fend off a big russian bear?
I'm not convinced orban is not a direct putin plant...you know like the MRGA / MAGA leadership. In contrast to EU requirements, he has implemented the same oppressive policies as putin... making it near impossible to legally displace him: control over media, courts, electoral results..
I guess its possible he's just another soul-less kleptocratic sleaze. The EU should not bribe him though. That money is better invested elsewhere to help democracy flourish. I think EU transfers to Hungary at present should be treated like frozen russian assets and redirect them to Ukraine.
As for Hungary's voting rights they should be restricted until they can prove decisively they are no longer supporting putins goals to destabilize the EU. Section 7 applies. Don't spend a penny in Hungary (anyone) until orban is gone.
The Hungarian people must feel the economic burden that comes with supporting putin, before they will unite to push out this self-anointed autocrat.
