Communist Party has ended its rally of protest on Independence Square in Kyiv, which was dedicated to the anniversary of the October Revolution.

The end of the rally, the communists adopted a resolution calling on Ukrainians to fight for the victory of socialism.

They also called for a fight against the "robbery of the Ukrainian people" by oligarchic clans, the nationalization of strategic companies, the introduction of a ban on the sale of agricultural land, and demanded that payments for utilities not account for more than 10% of the income of Ukrainian families.

The communists also demanded that Russian be given the status of a second official language in Ukraine and that the policy of the rehabilitation of collaborators with fascism and leaders of nationalist movements be stopped.

The rally participants also demanded that Ukraine join a common economic space of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan

An Interfax-Ukraine reporter said that about 2,000 people participated in the rally on the central square of the Ukrainian capital.
