Kyiv city council agreed to name Kyiv International Airport (a.k.a. Zhuliany Airport) after Ihor Sikorsky, the prominent aircraft constructor of Ukrainian origin. This was mentioned in the message at the city council’s website.
According to Oleksiy Reznikov, the deputy head of the Kyiv city council, the procedure is now complete, since all the necessary steps were made successfully.
