Park director Lars Liebst says the 10-million kroner ($1.8-million) investment includes a replica of Moscow’s famed Red Square cathedral with its cluster of onion domes.

During the Nov. 11-Dec.30 season, visitors will be able to ride a small-sized Trans-Siberian train through snowy landscapes with Christmas characters and Faberge egg decorations.

A Russian-style Father Frost and a Snow Maiden will also replace Julemanden — the Danish Santa Claus — and his helpers.

Tivoli gets around 800,000 visitors each winter.
