The program covered twelve areas, including software testing, programming, robotics, UI/UX design, marketing, and data analysis. In addition to expert mentors, some sessions were led by students from GoFriends IT Academy, who shared their own first steps in tech. For many of the teenagers, the workshop became their first practical experience working with technology.
How Andrii Matiukha Supports Applied Learning
After the program ended, participants were offered free continued education at GoFriends IT Academy and a chance to attend a specialized tech camp. This opportunity became possible thanks to the partnership between the IT Academy and Andrii Matiukha, which provided the necessary resources for the project.
Rather than organizing events directly, the foundation acts as a partner, helping to support initiatives across different regions without duplicating the work of implementing organizations. According to Andrii Matiukha, this approach helps build sustainable educational pathways for teenagers from various backgrounds. He focuses on programs that combine meaningful content with real-world outcomes.
Why Education Matters to Andrii Matiukha
The model promoted by Andrii Matiukha is built not around one-off events but on long-term educational continuity. Participation in the workshop is only an entry point into a broader learning environment.
The format was designed to help teenagers not only learn about different professions but also discover which ones align with their strengths. It’s this kind of approach that brings education closer to real-life challenges and proves the effectiveness of the strategy pursued by the foundation under Andrii Matiukha’s leadership.
