On August 1, Dnipro became the venue for the third workshop of the educational program Ticket to IT. This initiative offers teenagers the chance to take their first step into the world of modern digital professions. The event was organized by GoIT Academy with the support of Favbet Foundation, led by its president Andrii Matiukha, as part of the Build Up program.

The workshop brought together 65 young participants, most of whom were children of military personnel, internally displaced persons, orphans, and youth from socially vulnerable groups. For many, it was their first hands-on experience with IT tools and a unique opportunity to interact directly with industry professionals.

The teenagers worked with equipment, completed practical exercises, and received guidance from experts. The program covered topics such as startup creation, marketing fundamentals, web design, hardware programming, video editing and post-production, IT project management, motion design, and visual storytelling.

The day concluded with practical case work, and some participants were invited to join the GoFriends IT Academy summer camp free of charge. Almost all expressed a desire to continue their learning through Favbet Foundation programs.

“The children who came this time truly impressed us with their level of knowledge. We gave them a logic test, and they all passed it brilliantly — something that happens rarely. We want every child to feel part of the industry of the future and to gain an experience they’ll never forget,” said representatives of Favbet Foundation.

Favbet Foundation and Andrii Matiukha Support IT Skills for Teenagers

Ticket to IT is part of the Build Up project implemented by GoFriends IT Academy under the IT Kids program. Launched in 2023, it has already provided free courses to more than 1,100 teenagers. The first course, New Python, was run in partnership with Code Club Ukraine and graduated 352 students, including 156 children of military personnel and internally displaced families. Later, a Scratch course followed, with 780 more participants.

The first two Build Up workshops took place in Kyiv and Stryi. The Dnipro event confirmed the growing interest of young people in IT. Favbet Foundation and Andrii Matiukha plan to expand the initiative so that even more teenagers can receive their own “ticket” into the digital sphere.
