Obolon district court of Kyiv sentenced Ruslan Onyshchenko, the ex-commander of disbanded Tornado special task force unit, which operated within the Interior Ministry of Ukraine in Luhansk region, his assistant Mykolai Tsokur and 6 more officers to long terms of imprisonment, 4 more received suspended sentence. This was reported on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel by correspondent.
“Ruslan Onyshchenko, battalion’s commander, got more than everybody — 11 years of prison. Then goes his assistant Mykolai Tsokur, he got 9. Other fighters have mostly 8-9 years. There are also 4 suspended sentences. Four former fighters have been placed under house arrest — Yuriy Shevchenko, who got 3 years of probation, others have two years each,” journalist reported.
