The Swedish company IKEA, the world’s largest furniture and home goods retailer, has decided to temporarily restrict the ability to place new orders in the Ukrainian online store, IKEA has told Interfax-Ukraine.

“In order to meet the demand and continue to meet IKEA’s high standards and customer expectations, we decided to process and deliver already registered orders and temporarily limit the ability to process new ones,” IKEA said.

It is indicated that the company is doing everything possible to restore the website as quickly as possible.

“Together with local service providers, the IKEA team is working hard to expand the capabilities and meet the expectations of customers. We are doing everything possible to restore the website as soon as possible, and we will inform you immediately after it becomes possible,” the company concluded.

As reported, on May 14 IKEA officially launched the possibility of ordering goods from an online store in Ukraine, and also opened distribution points in Kyiv-based Auchan Rive Gauche and Metro Cash & Carry trade centers.

After the launch of the online store, IKEA plans to open its store in a new city store format in Kyiv as soon as possible. The company has recently signed a lease agreement with Blockbuster Mall, the company said.
