“The members of the government that were elected to the parliament should decide where they will work. Of course [they should do this] after a meeting with the president and taking into account his opinion,” the premier’s spokesman Vitaliy Lukyanenko said quoting Azarov at a meeting of the government on Monday.
At the same time, according to Lukyanenko, the premier did not set any deadlines.
As reported, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, Vice Premier and Social Policy Minister Sergiy Tigipko, Justice Minister Oleksandr Lavrynovych, Economic Development and Trade Minister Petro Poroshenko, Emergencies Minister Viktor Baloha, Vice Premier and Transport and Infrastructure Minister Borys Kolesnikov, Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Utilities Minister Anatoliy Blyzniuk, as well as Education, Youth and Sports Minister Dmytro Tabachnyk were elected to the parliament at the recent elections.
According to the legislation, the candidates that passed to the parliament have to submit to the Central Election Commission documents confirming their dismissal from their previous work place within 20 days (until December 3) to receive a seat in the parliament.
