A Russian drone attack on the Poltava district on Friday evening damaged several civilian sites and injured two people, local officials said.

Vitalii Diakyvnych, head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, said on Telegram that debris fell and strikes were recorded at several locations following the Russian UAV attack.

“Private houses, an outpatient clinic building, household buildings, cars and power lines were damaged,” Diakyvnych said.

According to the official, units of Ukraine’s State Emergency Service quickly extinguished fires caused by the attack.

Two people were reported injured.

“Medics provided the victims with all necessary assistance at the scene,” Diakyvnych said.

The latest strike follows earlier Russian attacks on the Poltava region. On May 26, around 3,000 customers in the Poltava district were left without gas supplies after Russian attacks, according to Ukrinform.
