The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, has supported the bills proposing to extend martial law and general mobilization in the country for 90 days.
Yaroslav Zhelezniak, a deputy of the Holos (Voice) party, wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“The parliament supported (Bill No. 7664) the extension of martial law for 90 days, until November 21, 2022. The Rada also supported (Bill No. 7665) the approval of a decree extending the period of general mobilization”, Zhelezniak said.
According to him, each of the bills received 328 votes.
On August 12, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky introduced two bills to the Verkhovna Rada on the extension of martial law from August 23 and on the extension of general mobilization for 90 days.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of an all-out invasion of Ukraine. Martial law was introduced in the country on the same day and was supposed to last until March 26. Subsequently, it was extended for another 30 days, until April 25, and then for a further 30 days, until May 25.
On February 24, Zelensky also signed a decree introducing a general mobilization in the country. It is held within 90 days from the date of entry into force of the decree.
On May 22, the Verkhovna Rada, at the request of President Zelensky, extended martial law and general mobilization for 90 days, until August 23.
