John Sweeney on His 'Tense' New Documentary 'Eastern Front'

Award-winning British journalist John Sweeney talks to Kyiv Post about the making of his documentary “Eastern Front”, a "groundbreaking, tense and often moving documentary" that "exposes definitive proof of the crimes committed every day in Ukraine and Russia’s attempts to hide them."

A preview of the film available to watch now, says: "For decades, Vladimir Putin has been waging a hybrid war against the West. Using the Russian state apparatus, the Kremlin has used disinformation to cover up its crimes and keep the Russian people in the dark.

"In its invasion of Ukraine, Russia’s disinformation factory has gone into overdrive to deny and lie about war crimes it is committing against peaceful civilians, including torture, illegal weaponry and targeting civilians for shelling."

The world premiere of “Eastern Front” will be held in Kyiv Cinema House, on the 7th of June, at 6:30 p.m. It will be followed by premieres in London on the 14th of June and Los Angeles.
