Two women, aged 61 and 52, were injured in the strike and are receiving medical care, Syniehubov said.
Emergency services were working at the scene, while authorities conducted door-to-door checks to identify residents in need of assistance.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said the Kyivskyi district had been hit multiple times throughout the day.
“Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has struck Kharkiv 11 times, all hits were in the Kyivskyi district,” he said.
Terekhov added that most of the drones used in the attack were jet-powered, marking the first time Russia has deployed such UAVs against Kharkiv.
Officials warned that additional drones remained in the air near the city.
Residents were urged to follow air raid alerts and seek shelter.
