Russian forces launched a ballistic missile strike on Kryvyi Rih on Tuesday, June 23, killing at least three people and injuring 19, local officials said.
Explosions were reported around 11:00 a.m., with the head of the city’s Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, confirming the attack and warning of possible additional launches.

The missile struck a civilian infrastructure site, he said.
“Unfortunately, three people were killed. More than ten were injured,” Vilkul reported initially, later updating the toll to 19 wounded as of 12:10. Five of the injured remain in serious condition.
All victims have been hospitalized, with emergency crews and medics continuing to work at the scene. Firefighters have extinguished a blaze caused by the strike, while rescue and response operations remain ongoing.
Kryvyi Rih, a frequent target of Russian missile and drone attacks, has faced repeated strikes in recent months, including deadly hits on residential buildings and infrastructure.
