A direct Russian missile strike completely destroyed the manufacturing facilities and warehouses of UKRTAC, a Ukrainian producer of military gear and personal protective equipment, during an attack on Kyiv on Sunday, July 19.
Severion Dangadze, the founder of UKRTAC, confirmed the destruction of the plant on social media. He stated that the facilities and production equipment were entirely lost due to a direct hit, but noted that there were no casualties among the company’s personnel.

The destruction of the UKRTAC facility occurred during an unprecedented barrage of ballistic missiles launched at the Ukrainian capital early Sunday morning.
According to monitoring resources, Russian forces fired 41 ballistic missiles – including Iskander-M, Zircon, and S-400 types – at Kyiv over a 40-minute period. This marks the highest number of ballistic missiles used in a single attack against the capital since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
Widespread damage across the capital
The strikes and resulting debris caused fires and structural damage across five city districts: Desnianskyi, Dniprovskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, and Solomianskyi.
The State Emergency Service (DSNS) in Kyiv confirmed the fatality and the 17 injuries, reporting that rescue operations are ongoing at several locations.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, emergency crews extinguished fires that engulfed vehicles and a three-story building, and localized a fire in a non-residential structure. First responders recovered the body of the deceased individual in this district and conducted operations to free people trapped in the debris.

In the Solomianskyi district, missile fragments fell near a nine-story apartment building, shattering windows. Firefighters are currently working to extinguish a blaze in an office building, while fires in residential and non-residential buildings have been extinguished.
In the Sviatoshynskyi district, emergency crews extinguished a fire on the roof of a private residential building and rescued four residents. In the Desnianskyi district, fires at two non-residential locations were localized. In the Dniprovskyi district, fires were recorded involving vehicles, a non-residential building, and a dormitory.
The attack damaged the surface vestibule of the Lukianivska metro station. The station is temporarily closed, with trains on the green line bypassing it without stopping. Workers are currently repairing escalators and passenger automation systems.
