A Russian jet-powered drone struck a post office in the northern Ukrainian city of Sumy early Saturday, killing two people, as Moscow continued attacks across several Ukrainian regions.
“As a result of a jet-powered drone strike on a post office, two people were killed, one of them a 49-year-old man; the identity of the second man is being established,” Sumy city military administration chief Sergiy Kryvosheenko reported.

The strike targeted civilian infrastructure in Sumy, a city that has repeatedly come under Russian drone and missile attacks because of its proximity to the border.
In southern Ukraine, a man was also injured in an overnight Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia, according to regional authorities.
The latest casualties came less than a day after a Russian ballistic missile struck a defense industry event in the Kyiv region, killing at least 10 people and injuring nearly 100.
Saturday was declared a day of mourning in the Kyiv region following the attack.
The overnight strikes also came as President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that Ukrainian intelligence and information from partners indicated Russia had prepared missiles for another massive attack that could take place within 48 hours.
