There were many important discussions at the Black Sea Security Forum 2026 regarding security and Ukraine’s possible future strategies. However, the most important takeaway was optimism. Everyone shared the same assessment – Ukraine is in a better position than it was a year ago.

The Black Sea Security Forum 2026 in Odesa became a record-breaking event. Hundreds of guests – from military personnel and OSINT analysts, to US senators, European professors, representatives of the Middle East, and others – filled the legendary Odesa Opera House.

The forum opened with a minute of silence for those who lost their lives. The forum comprised more than 10 different panels and several additional side events covering a broad range of security issues and strategic topics.
