Russian drones struck the northeastern city of Kharkiv on the evening of March 26, injuring at least eight people and causing significant damage, local officials said.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that Russian forces launched at least 12 Shahed drones within an hour, targeting residential buildings, civilian infrastructure, vehicles, and outbuildings.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Administration, confirmed that a 14-year-old girl was among the wounded.

Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal shared footage of a fire ignited by the attack and accused Russia of continuing its campaign of terror against peaceful cities. Ukrainian media also published video footage capturing the strike during a football match in Kharkiv.

In the central city of Dnipro, three people sought medical attention following drone strikes, including a 48-year-old man and two women, ages 75 and 78. All received treatment at the scene, according to local officials.

Serhiy Lysak, chair of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration (ODA), said the attack damaged industrial enterprises, educational and cultural institutions, and more than a dozen high-rise buildings. More than 60 cars were damaged, with several destroyed. Two trucks were also caught in the attack.

Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) launched a coordinated overnight drone strike against the “Vostochny” military training ground in Novopetrivka, Zaporizhzhia region. Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, commander of the USF, confirmed that the long-range strike targeted a concentration of troops from three distinct Russian military units operating in the Huliaipole direction, including the Kamchatka 40th Marine Brigade.

Lysak added that Ukrainian air defenses intercepted and destroyed six Shahed drones over the Dnipropetrovsk region during the assault.

The latest strikes come as Russia continues its attacks on Ukrainian cities, despite ongoing international efforts to find a quick resolution to the war, now in its fourth year.
