An explosion occurred near the western Ukrainian city of Rivne on Monday, April 20, injuring eight people, police said.
According to regional law enforcement, the blast happened around 1 p.m. at the premises of an enterprise not related to chemical production.

Eight people were reported injured, one of them in critical condition.
Emergency services and law enforcement officials are working at the scene, while authorities are determining the circumstances of the incident and its legal classification.
On April 18, a shooting occurred in Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi district, leaving seven people dead and at least 14 injured, Ukrainian authorities said.
On Monday Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said one of the wounded later died in hospital after being in critical condition.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said the attacker, a 58-year-old man originally from Russia who had lived in Donetsk region, opened fire on civilians before being killed by police.
Authorities classified the incident as a terrorist act, with criminal proceedings opened by the Security Service of Ukraine.
